Like a soundtrack Hinterland unfolds, changes its pace, and evokes a specific locality for its audience. Dark beats, hypnotic strings, soundtrack samples, and deep bass merge into a cohesive producers statement. On 'The Girl That Fell Through The Ice' Kate Rogers sings enigmatically over orchestrated strings. Diamond D displays his storytelling skills as he narrates Aim's haunting production on the 'Omen'. While Oakland's Souls Of Mischief turn in a classic appearance on 'No Restrictions' flipping tempos and rhyming with superb skill and fluidity. Hinterland is a progressive and contemplative album, tinged with remarkable soulful grooves, trip hop ballads, and emotive melodies.

1. Intro
2. "Hip-Hop was always in my blood," says Ace. "Conscious lyrics and a beat that hit hard always hit home." Also being inspired by artists like James Brown, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane, Ace began studying Jazz, playing the guitar, and developing his own sound. Born in San Diego, CA, Ace emerged in the Underground Hip-Hop scene in 2003 with his debut album Park Benches. In 2006, Acethetic joined forces with a live band to perform at the Epicentre in San Diego for the release of his latest CD "Reflections". Today, Acethetic resides in the Bay Area and performs regularly. He incorporates elements of Jazz with smooth basslines, heavy hitting drums, and rhythmatic cuts to produce a sound all his own. "A true artist must remain open-minded," says Ace. "I try to continue to learn and grow while expressing my true emotion, thoughts, and soul." His eclectic beats and conscious lyrics combined with elements of Funk, Jazz, Soul, and whatever else he decides to toss into the gumbo, makes his songs all the more fresher. Songs like the single "Relaxin' With Cherry" and "She's My Lover" are beautiful pop songs, constructed mostly from sampled material with a few live guitar and basslines plus vocals by Prieur and the Pastels' Katrina Mitchell. As ever, the emphasis is on quality rather than quantity. But with an impressive 23 tracks to choose from you thankfully get your fair share of both. Concentrating on a much more contemporary style than previous contributors such as Tommy Guerrero, the boy wonder pays only cursory attention to the oldie but goldie route, with Public Image Limited, Gabor Szabo, Harvey Mandel, John Lucien and Frankie Valentine providing the only pre-1990s support. Instead Loco heads down the route once marked trip-hop, favouring a sluggish, head nodding trawl through hip-hop inspired downbeats and bass-heavy personal favourites. But, what it may lose in variation it makes up for in the well executed mix, a seamless cut and paste journey through a host of long forgotten beats and breaks. From the Herbaliser's "Hard Stuff" and Aim's "Fall Break" to Up Bustle and Out's "The Domino Boys" and Tranquility Bass' "Soldier's Sweetheart". And that's just for starters

1. The production is by far the bast part of this cd. Khrysis is one of my favorite producers right now, pretty much anything that comes out of North Carolina is quality shit. NC is running the "hip-hop" game right now. Little Brother, Kenn Starr, Cesar Comanche, Edgar Allen Floe, Median, L.E.G.A.C.Y., Supastition, and The Away Team are all my favorites right now. This music bangs because of all the great producers that reside in North Carolina like; 9th Wonder, Khrysis and many more, plus Dutch Producer Nicolay (who helps all the MC's in NC). With Boulevard, he was already spicing up his deep house with blues, gospel and jazz, long before Moby. But Tourist is in a different league altogether. First, the man has landed a deal with the jazz masters' label, Blue Note. Second, with Tourist, Navarre takes his bluesy deep house further into jazz land. From the opening track, Rose Rouge, with its infectious groove, to the last, it is groove all round. On every track, you can feel the influences. Hampton, Armstrong, Davis, they’re all there. But Navarre does use these influences in style. Here, the masters are at his service. Tourist is one of the most enjoyable albums ever, and St Germain is slowly but surely becoming one of the major talents on the international dance scene.

1. Predating other French talents such as Daft Punk, Air and Dimitri From Paris, St. Germain’s influence is clearly audible in those artists’ work as well. PIAS America continue to unearth the classic gems of electronic music with the timely issue of St. Germain’s "Boulevard, new version the complete series". Never before released in the United States, Boulevard finds smoldering jazz vibes nestled amidst lush dance rhythms in an un-self-consciously eclectic album with tremendous crossover potential.

Before St. Germain caught the ear of legendary American jazz label Blue Note, which led to the 2000 release of the album Tourist and a string of sold-out shows across the U.S., Navarre was an innovator within the electronic music scene (with St. Germain and several other aliases). His early releases on France’s respected F Communications label (run by another great French talent, Laurent Garnier) did more to put Paris on the international map than any of his predecessors. No other artist in recent history has garnered such acceptance across wide musical boundaries, leapfrogging from discerning house music lovers to ardent jazz enthusiasts with effortless motion. Billboard named St. Germain their "Top Contemporary Jazz Artist" and Tourist their "Top Contemporary Jazz Album" of 2001, while the album appeared on countless "best of" playlists from the world’s top DJs.

Originally released in 1995, Boulevard sold over 300,000 copies worldwide, was elected Record of the Year in England and served as a cornerstone for a legion of artists and producers interested in trying to capture its elusive and sexy grooves. Boulevard, new version the complete series includes two special extra songs, including the rare early hit "Alabama Blues," both taken from 1999’s From Detroit to St. Germain, a compilation of cuts recorded over seven years.

While much electronic music seemingly comes with an expiration date and built-in obsolescence, the sound of St. Germain is enduring and undoubtedly takes a cue from the jazz masters in terms of longevity. Here is a choice opportunity to take a listen to the rich backstory of an artist with no signs of slowing down in the future.

1. Deep In It
2. Recorded at the Uterus Goldmine, Walsall, Britain.

Triphop's naughty grooves and sweaty jazz riffing always run the risk of lapsing into sleazy-listening parody. With the non-stop visual innuendoes of HED PHONE SEX, James Braddell pushes the music-as-dirty metaphor mindset to humorous extremes. The Funki Porcini tag distances Braddell from the acid-jazz legacy of 9 Lazy 9, his partnership with Keir Fraser. HED PHONE SEX keeps Braddell's finger on the hip-shaking pulse of 9L9 while opening the Funki sound to such current influences as reggae (on the delectable "Dubble") and dub ("King Ashabanapal"), ambient mood-sculpture, and heavily sedated drum n' bass. A narcotic languor creeps into HED PHONE SEX, blurring neon, wine-bar piano and horns, and streaked headlights into one long and profound hangover. There are moments of lucidity among the slow-mo hiphop beats and smeary instrumentation--more so on the second disc, a generous loose-ends collection of earlier singles and remixes that occasionally swims in the same inebriated haze as the album proper. "26 West 17th Street" and "Suck Acid, Pearl & Dean" are trip-stagger-stumble-hop riddled with tricky breaks. Both Digidub and Plaid tailor "King Ashabanapal" to suit their own distinctive threads, while the other tracks teem with ear-pricking samples snatched from the periphery of semi-consciousness.

1. Much Later, Albarn Gave the Tapes to Producer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton and his Attitude Changed, Feeling Like He Would Just Write the Songs but Not Sing. Danger Mouse Helped Gel the Project and Albarn Just Wanted to Write Tales of West London. The Final Collaborator was Clash Bassist Paul Simonon, Whose Presence Changed the Whole Dynamic. The Result is a Record that Traces a Journey from the English Music Hall Tradition Over to West Africa for Afrobeat, Zigzagging Through the West Indies and Its Reggae and Dub, Back to England and London's Punk Scene, all the While Taking in a Strand of British Beat Music from the '50s Right Through to Britpop. I guess it’s not necessarily a cocky act, maybe it’s to allow the listener to make up their own mind on the work. Personally, I feel names give a window into what the artist was thinking when putting the work together, but I guess we’ll never know.

What has gone into making this record is clear with or without names though; passion, creativity and most importantly… talent! Across the 12 tracks the listener is treated to instrumental beats which are in the most part, chilled but still very emotive. This is not wishy-washy hippy music destined to be played in lifts circa 2020, but music that you can relax to and let yourself be taken on a musical journey. Ok, so a few of the beats I can’t help myself but think would have been better with an emcee or vocalist on, but perhaps that would ruin the faultless flow of ‘Amongst Strangers’, for this is a rare album that you can easily play out every time you put it on. Is this because it’s only 42 minutes long? Well no. It’s because that each track length is just right, with enough variation to stop the nauseam that can all too often come hand in hand with instrumental albums.

There is little to fault an album like this, which can be played as a mood leveller, as background music, or simply put on and given your undivided. Mr Cooper has an immense talent on the boards, which shines throughout the album. A Must Have!

1. One
2. Two
3. Three
4. Four
5. His work with legendary dub engineer Scientist caught the ears of Thievery Corporation, and Williams has been a part of the ESL Studios and a resident at Eighteenth Street Lounge ever since. From the dub-spiced bossa of 'Um Favor' to the afro-beat reggae of 'Dread A the Roughest', Williams' debut album is a sublime piece of work that pushes downtempo into previously uncharted territories.

1. Using a turntable, mixer and computer to create the songs, this gifted DJ has conjured an homage to what is possible. Varied, uplifting and unexpected, rooted in hip-hop but leaping into new sonic territory, The Audience's Listening offers musical magic created by the alchemist known as Cut Chemist.

1. Must be heard to be believed - but good enough that its easy to forget the entire thing has been created start to finish on entirely a set of decks. Respect! Instead, his synthesizers bristle with contemporary electro-rhythms, a bit of New Wave romanticism, and melodies you want to last forever. Schnauss has perfected a balance between quiet yearning and joyful heroism in his music, with sweeping major-chord progressions that are triumphal without being ostentatious, expansive without being pompous. For someone who is so rhythm-centered with crackling snares and electro-glitches, it's ultimately the melodies that draw you in, turned on glistening, bell-like timbres and space-organ sustains. Far Away Trains Passing By is actually his first album, released in Europe in 2001, but it's been out of print and is being issued in the United States for the first time. The reissue comes with a bonus CD that includes six pieces pulled from various Schnauss side projects and tracks that didn't make the original album. Far Away Trains Passing By is electronica with a melancholy soul, and it has lost nothing in the intervening years.

DISC 1:
1. Knuddelmaus
2. Like his Ninja labelmates Amon Tobin and Bonobo, he excels at grafting delicate, ambient soundscapes onto chunky beats (check “Carnivores Unite” and the groovy sitar break on the title track). Like Wagon Christ and Kid Koala, he’s got a great ear for goofy samples -- scratched-up Charlie Brown voices on “Hello Popartz,” variable-speed jazz vocals on “Triptych.” Coolest of all, though, is Blockhead’s skillful use of horns, strings and other sampled orchestral touches, which lend ambitiously dense cuts like “Breath and Start,” “Sunday Seance” and especially the excellent “Insomniac Olympics” a grandeur that few other underground hip-hop producers, apart from Tobin, have even attempted.

1. Brimming with hope and optimism, you'll be playing attention to the grooves and rhythms well before you ever notice Guerrero's singing style that compliments the cloudy, danceable flow of the record. This icon of the sport is just about as famous as a skateboarder can get, yet at the age of thirty-three he decided to hang up his wheels and concentrate on more leisurely pursuits. A Little Bit of Somethin' is the inspired result--an album for which campfires and kicking back must surely have been invented. It's a little bit country, a little bit rock & roll, a Beck-lite collision of postrock blues, breezy summer jazz and whatever else gets pulled out of the rucksack. "Pescadito" is Nirvana's "Come as You Are" stripped down to its drum machine bones; "Soul Miner" oozes hot buttered '70s soul; "4 Track Samba" does exactly what it says on the tin, while "100 Years" is the sound of Ukrainian peasants nodding their heads to a twilight hip-hop mantra. This is a great CD.

1. Blue Masses
2. Four TRK Samba
3. Tiny
4. Numb Milleneum
5. 100 Years
6. Pescadito
7. On From the Soil to the Soul, he pushes his unique, jazzy, guitar-driven sound into a mature new realm.

Highlights can be found early on in the album with “The Underdog,” a seemingly blues-inspired instrumental featuring a stripped down hip hop beat and “Badder Than Bullets,” which comes in with fast and furious drums and chopped up, cleverly layered guitar rhythms.

Following the bold introductory offerings are “No Guns More Glory” and “War No More,” tracks that sound like something you would find on a classic Meters album—beautifully executed, straight-up, soulful funk jams.

The album moves on with an assortment of mellow blues, Latin, soul, and jazz infused tracks. Guerrero effectively resuscitates things towards the end with “Let Me In Let Me Out,” an undisputed banger fronted by supreme funk-vocalist Lyrics Born. Fans of Lyrics will recognize this track as a surprising departure from his usual hip hop and funk style as he proceeds to unleash a furious vocal barrage to the backdrop of Guerrero’s hard rocking, distorted out lead guitar.

With remarkably tight instrumentation and completely original songwriting found throughout, From the Soil to the Soul delivers the goods. Bluesy, soulful, funky, melodic, sometimes dreamy, and even hard-rocking, Guerrero’s album takes you on a wild and eclectic, yet surprisingly impressive and enjoyable ride.

1. The spare, shimmering title track's delicate synth textures, minimal beats, mellow rhythms, and breathy vocal samples set the tone for the rest of the album's laid-back tracks. Though 'Orozco', 'Bass on the Boat,' and 'Ocean Beat' are more immediate variations on Tosca's relaxed sound, for the most part, 'Suzuki' offers a locked groove of hypnotic, deeply chilled-out epics.

1. With their upcoming fourth artist album J.A.C. the theme of fatherhood is the tie that has bound these two men together in a newly recharged musical kinship. Between the release of their last acclaimed album Dehli 9 and their new masterpiece, the two have become fathers.
This album is the most consistent formulation of both the carefree and the melancholic aspects of Tosca. The melodies quicken, the grooves are both fun loving and laidback. Huber and Dorfmeister have found both a fresh understanding of the art of understatement and a newly reformulated, breathtaking musical authenticity. Like the new life around them, J.A.C. similarly breathes new life into the characteristic sound of Tosca.

Besides the ever-present and celebrated Tosca mood, this new sound resonates with the vibrations of live instruments translated with a liveliness that captures the immediacy of creation and improvisation at its peak. It’s this live, real instrumentation that marks the sound of the new Tosca album the most significantly.

The duo brought in a cast of new artists to perform vocals on the songs including Samiah Farah from Paris, Chris Eckman, lead singer of Seattle based band The Walkabouts, former Rockers Hi-Fi MC Farda P, Londoner Earl Zinger of 2 Banks of 4 and Austrian rock legend Graf Hadik all appear on the microphones.

J.A.C. is full of music that is light-footed and melancholic, cheerful and deep, relaxed and energetic. It’s a sound that can be enjoyed everywhere, at any occasion.

1. Rondo Acapricio
2. Heidi Bruehl
3. Superrob
4. John Lee Huber
5. But the title could just as well be describing their sound, which was undeniably retro, from their absolute-basics rhyming style to the jazz-soul slant of the music. Their music feels old-fashioned in its focus on the simple pleasures, but that's also its strong point, why it still sounds so damn good. Every track is simple – take a clip from a track by a beloved contemporary (a Guru quote from a Gan Starr classic, for example) and build it into a hook. Place some basic rhymes, not especially unique in content or delivery, around them – mostly about creativity and the art of MCing. And then, most importantly, build a smooth, classically jazzy atmosphere around it. That's what takes their music to another level: how effortlessly they build a sublime, pleasurable mood out of jazz textures. Part of a piano or guitar solo is looped until it forms a relaxed, riveting foundation. On track after track they take pieces of jazz, throws in a bit of a soul groove or melody, some basic but funky drums…the result is a low-key kind of magic. It doesn't matter that their rhymes are forgettable and their overall approach pretty repetitive; all that matters is that soothing, fulfilling, jazz-ridden hip-hop groove that they do so well.

1. The current state of the world is unsettling, confusing, and scary. Are we on the brink of World War III? How will we equip and handle ourselves during a time of crisis? The answers lie within your hands. Please open your Handbook for the Apocalypse, place it in your CD player and listen to music that can guide you through these times.
Handbook for the Apocalypse takes you into the trenches with thirteen diverse tracks that can only be described as politically charged organic hip-hop. From the opening drum march featuring wisdom by William Burroughs, Towers Open Fire sets you up for the first musical battle on this album. Following right behind is the lead single "Handbook for the Apocalypse" that showcases Command Surgeon Azeem's lyrical artillery. Socially consciousness poetry is showcased by Youth Speaks poets' Paul S. Flores on his piece "I am on a Journey to my Soul, but the Police Just Pulled Me Over," and on "Walking with my Son" featuring Marc Bamuthi Joseph. From the spiritual tones of Shake the Cosmic Dice" and "Beyond Babylon to the humorous skit of Hologram Network,"VU truly taps into our emotions, artistically expressing what many of us are afraid to say, but feel during this time of conflict.

As recently seen in the peace marches in San Francisco and Washington D.C, people in our country are truly taking a stand against our government and most of all war. V.U.s Handbook for the Apocalypse is the perfect musical supplement and soundtrack to support peace, compassion, and unity. Take a listen and take a stand!

1. "Buckshot LeFonque" was a pseudonym for Cannonball Adderley in the 1950s, and you'll squint long and hard trying to find Branford's name on the jacket and cover except for the tiny note, "Produced by B. Marsalis." Maybe he was hedging his bets against the expected (and received) flak from the jazz purists, but the reality is that he has found a brilliant way to fuse hip-hop rhythms with mainstream jazz licks without compromising either idiom. The best number is a lovely setting of Maya Angelou's poem -"I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings," with absolutely gorgeous soprano by Marsalis, some great Miles-tinged muted trumpet from Roy Hargrove, and Angelou reciting her words against the big electronic backbeat. The free-thinking Branford also injects real funk into Elton John's "Mona Lisas (And Mad Hatters)"; throws in a little reggae, rap, and lots of sampling; gets down and dirty with Kevin Eubanks' slide guitar on the truckin' cut "Some Cow Fonque"; and unifies most of the package with a couple of recurring, catchy riffs and touches of horseplay. The only misfire is a totally incongruous, totally dull soul ballad called "Ain't It Funny" (sung by Tammy Townsend) that sounds as if someone suddenly switched CDs on your changer. Nevertheless, regardless of what the neo-boppers might say, this is a more imaginative record than any of Branford's estimable straight jazz projects -- and a lot more fun. ~ Richard S. He is a fasion designer/rapper. He has his own clothing line called Bonney Runway and it is only sold in boutique's in the Washington D.C. area, Los Angeles and New York. He has been rapping since 17 and just never released a cd. This cd is real good, but it does have a few flaws. Lunchin' is just kind of ridiculous and On It doesn't have that good of beat. The rest of the cd is really well produced and Tabi spits some decent rhymes. The Pocket is really popular in D.C. and you can tell why just by listening to it, real catchy. Overall I give this cd 4 out of 5.

1. Pocket
2. On It
3. Doin It
4. Beat Rock
5. Dope
6. Escalator
7. This feature film dramatizes one of the album's most memorably potent songs, the emotionally wrenching revenge tale "Walk Like a Man." Murs himself stars as aspiring rapper Murray, who, along with his best friend Pete (Damien Wigfall), struggles to break into the music industry while working a soul-crushing day job. When Pete is brutally gunned down in front of him in a street fight, Murray is torn between his musical aspirations and a desire for vengeance. Gritty and authentic, WALK LIKE A MAN is accompanied by Murs's complete music video anthology, which includes "Bad Man," "Hustle" (featuring wrestling star John Cena) and "Risky Bizness" (featuring rappers Shock G and Humpty Hump).

http://www.mediafire.com/?4mzzjm30lrm

Belief - Dedication

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_puHXRYaNVHw/RYJuhA6hu6I/AAAAAAAAAAg/tqQXIzU0_-0/s400/952286.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5008687249049631650" />

This is a very good album.
